Company History

What, exactly, is Salba? And why is it the cornerstone of all Core Naturals’ products?

Salba is a variety of an ancient plant species belonging to the mint family; its name comes from the unique combination of the registered varieties “Sahi Alba 911/912” on which all clinical studies have been performed, the company said. Core Naturals said that Salba is the richest whole food source of omega-3 fatty acids and dietary fiber found in nature—all contained in premium heirloom white seeds exclusively cultivated in Peru. Its versatility and ease of use make it ideal to use with any foods.
