Mucos Pharma, an affiliate German company to Mucos, LLC in the US, is a future-oriented pharmaceutical initiative with high scientific competence, expertise and growth potential. Since the establishment of Mucos Pharma nearly 60 years ago, the company has continued to develop its international presence.

The Beginning of Wobenzyme
In 1949, Professor Helmuth Haubold developed and produced vitamin-emulsions (Mulsine), and laid the foundation for the company Mucos Pharma. Then, in 1957, Karl Ransberger started managing the company with four coworkers. In the United States Ransberger met Wiener Professor Max Wolf, who was involved in the therapeutic use of enzyme combinations. With his colleague Helen Benitez, Wolf developed the “Wolf-Benitez-Enzymtherapie” and called the product after the first two letters of both their names: WoBe-Enzyme, creating the brand name Wobenzym.
