Roex, Inc. is the vitamin retailer’s source for premium specialty nutritional products. In 1994, Rod Burreson, Roex’s founder and CEO, opened his doors with a single product (PC- 95®) and the commitment to provide the highest-quality nutritional supplements available nationwide. Fifteen short years later, Roex now manufactures and markets its branded line consisting of more then 60 SKUs through independent retailers, national retailers such as Vitamin Shoppe, Vitamin World Superstores, Vita Cost as well as direct to consumers at www.roex.com. In total, the company services approximately 600 retail locations and a database of 100,000 consumers each month.
Roex built its brand and loyal consumer base via the company’s nationally known health talk radio show. The show, “The Truth About Nutrition,” focuses on providing an educational resource for health-savvy listeners. Broadcast live from coast to coast and reaching as many as four million radio listeners every Monday through Friday, “The Truth About Nutrition” became a staple for individuals with an appetite for nutritional knowledge. As the company has grown, so have its efforts to expand its market share. Utilizing a national multimedia approach consisting of print, radio and targeted on-line advertising campaigns, Roex has been able to reach beyond the niche buyer and gain the interest of non-traditional supplement consumers with products such as Lights Out® and Roex Optima-100®. Consumer response to the marketing efforts continues to benefit sales for both the company and its retail partners.
Roex’s reputation and continued success is tied to its commitment to develop products that offer nutritional benefits that go far beyond the standard nutritional brands. Evidence of this is Roex’s PC VOOM®, a liquid dietary supplement that provides a daily dose of vitamin C, B vitamins and more than 10,000 ORAC units per 2-oz. serving, or to put it this way, two to five times more antioxidant benefit ounce per ounce then some well known noni, goji and açai competitors*.
Roex is a vertically integrated company. Manufacturing, sales, marketing, customer service and product fulfillment are all done in house. Quality of goods is ensured because Roex maintains its own manufacturing facility in Irvine, CA. This allows the company to respond to market trends, constantly improve on formulations and ensure that Roex products continually surpass consumer expectations. The manufacturing facility has also allowed for the opportunity to provide contract-manufacturing services to the industry.
